NJSLA Testing:  Grades 3-5 Only

All students in Grades 3-5 will be taking the New Jersey Student Learning Assessment (NJSLA) for English Language Arts and Mathematics over the next two weeks. These assessments are  administered in computer-based (CBT) format. The English language arts (ELA) assessments will focus on writing effectively when analyzing text. Mathematics assessments will focus on applying skills and concepts and understanding multi-step problems that require abstract reasoning and modeling real world problems, precision, perseverance, and strategic use of tools.

  • Grades 3-5 English Language Arts May 9 and May 10

  • Grades 3-5 Mathematics May 16 and May 17

• Here are a few things you can do to make sure your student is ready for testing:

• Fully charged chromebooks each night

• Students will be provided with earbuds, but may bring their own if they prefer

• Get a good night's rest

• Eat a nutritious breakfast (assessments are administered in the morning)

May Shortened Days and School Closing 

May 8 and May 26 are shortened days.  School hours are 8:45am - 1:15pm. 

School is closed on May 29 in observance of Memorial Day.

School Wide Domino Cereal Challenge

Cereal Drive Totals:  126 boxes!  Thank you for your donations!  

It is far short of our 500 box goal, HOWEVER, there is still time!  If you have not sent in your cereal donation, one(1) box of cereal for each student, you still have time.  

In order for our 天美视频 wide stem project to work best, 500 boxes would be ideal! The more cereal the better the outcome!

The Schoolwide STEM Challenge is still 天美视频d for Thursday, May 25!  However, it may need to be re天美视频d based on donation amounts.

 

This is a good cause!  All boxes of cereal will be donated to the local food pantry following the challenge!  

Kindergarten Registration

Kindergarten Registration for the 2023/2024 天美视频 year is in full swing! Kindergarten Registration is BY APPOINTMENT only.  Please do not wait to register - it is very important that we process your registration as soon as possible so we can place your child for next year. Please fill out our online Pre-Registration Form, then the supplemental forms - and then call right away to make your appointment. Visit our at for more info. Forms may also be picked up at our elementary 天美视频s. If your child is currently in the pre天美视频 program, online registration is not necessary.  Please call the main office for the required paperwork.

Pruebas NJSLA: Grados 3-5 solamente

Todos los estudiantes en los grados 3-5 tomarán la Evaluación de Aprendizaje Estudiantil de Nueva Jersey (NJSLA) para Artes del Lenguaje Inglés y Matemáticas durante las próximas dos semanas. Estas evaluaciones se administran en formato basado en computadora (CBT). Las evaluaciones de artes del lenguaje inglés (ELA) se centrarán en la escritura efectiva al analizar el texto. Recordatorios de prueba

• Aquí hay algunas cosas que puede hacer para asegurarse de que su estudiante esté listo para la prueba:

• Cargue completamente el Chromebook cada noche

Está muy lejos de nuestra meta de 500 cajas, SIN EMBARGO, ¡todavía hay tiempo! Si no ha enviado su donación de cereal, una (1) caja de cereal para cada estudiante, todavía tiene tiempo.

Para que nuestro proyecto de tallo de toda la escuela funcione mejor, ¡500 cajas serían ideales! ¡Cuanto más cereal, mejor será el resultado!
