    FOOTBALL, WRESTLING, BASEBALL

     

     

    Rob Connor earned ten varsity letters during his outstanding athletic career at JMHS.  His highlights in football include two years All-County and one year All-Shore.  In 1985 Rob captained his team to the number one ranking in the Shore.

    On the mat Rob had a very impressive 90-10 record, with three district titles.  Rob placed third in the Regions his sophomore year and second his junior and senior years.  He also placed third in the states in his junior year.

    Rob excelled at baseball, where he played first base and pitched.  He batted .396 for his career and finished with an 18-6 record with one no-hitter.  The Jags won two division titles during Rob’s tenure with the team.

    Rob was the WOBM and Ocean County Athlete of the Year.  He was also given the very prestigious Sullivan Award for the top male athlete in the Shore.

    Rob received a full football scholarship to the University of Delaware.  Rob’s father, Don Connor is also a member of the JMHS Athletic Hall of Fame.
